CBS Boston Gives Back Program - Youth Enrichment Services (YES) Fall 2012
CBS Gives Back to Boston Completion Report – Youth Enrichment Services (www.yeskids.org)
On behalf of the CBS Alumni Club of Boston and the CBS Gives Back to Boston Advisory Board, I would like to thank and recognize the following alumni volunteers for participating in our SIXTH pro bono consulting project for Youth Enrichment Services (www.yeskids.org). YES provides sports-based youth development, leadership, and enrichment programs to disadvantaged Boston youth between the ages of 7 and 18. Collectively, our team of alumni volunteers dedicated 310+ hours of their time during this 12-week project in the Fall of 2012 with final presentation to YES’ full board this past March.
Alumni Volunteers:
Bennett Davies ‘74
Jake George ‘11
Andrea Gerken ‘11
Todd Randolph ‘91
Thank you as well to fellow CBS alumni Bert Welling ’58 and Jessica Ferri ‘02 for bringing their non-profit organization to our attention. This is now our second consulting pro-bono consulting project that was not led by myself or another CBS Gives Back to Boston advisory board member, and we are very pleased that the team was well selected and they handled the project superbly. Thank you so much to Andrea Gerken and Todd Randolph for being co-leaders on this project and doing it with grace and enthusiasm! And thank you as always to the CBS Gives Back Advisory Board for ensuring the client and volunteers were well initiated into our CBS Gives Back to Boston culture and process, and continuing to streamline and improve this initiative.
To date, CBS Gives Back to Boston has provided over 3,400 hours of pro-bono consulting services to 6 non-profits since 2008, and this excludes the countless hours spent by the CBS Gives Back Advisory Board in preparing and choosing the right project and volunteer team each year. Please stay tuned as we will soon be reaching out for new clients and new alumni volunteers for our Fall 2013 project later this spring and summer.
